RIP HR Giger

For those of you who don't know, HR Giger recently died after serious injuries from a dangerous fall ( he was 74 years old so a fall can be pretty serious for someone his age) and he has now left us to be with so many other great people who also passed away

HR Giger was best know for the "Xenomorph" in the ALIEN franchise, which was originally a penis headed monster (HR Giger created a lot of his work based on night terrors he'd have, which often revolved around disfigured mechanical human hybrids and sexual material)

His artwork is a massive inspiration to me whenever it comes to drawing more serious work, an example of that would also be easy to see in one of my Characters, who is also an extra terrestrial creature, and those of you who have seen a lot of my robotic and gore based artwork will see what I mean.

Its needless to say I, as well as many will miss him dearly, losing such a talent like him really hits hard, he went through a lot in his life on this would (his wife commiting suicide being the worst of them) but he managed to keep it together for all these years, its sad he went the way he did, but at least he can rest his soul in peace.

Rest In Peace HR Giger, there wont be a day that goes by where we wont miss you
